CBSE to release Class 10 results of Middle East students with all candidates

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has confirmed that Class 10 results for students in Middle Eastern countries will be announced alongside those of all other candidates, after certain examinations in the region were cancelled.
In an official statement, the board said it had decided to cancel the remaining Class 10 examinations in countries such as Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, following an assessment of the prevailing conditions. It added that further details regarding the declaration process would be shared separately.
The examinations conducted between February 17 and February 28 were completed without disruption. During this phase, students appeared for a range of subjects, including Mathematics, English, Science, languages and skill-based papers.
Assessment scheme outlined
CBSE has introduced a revised evaluation method based on the number of subjects attempted by students. Candidates who appeared for all examinations will have their results determined by their actual performance.

For those who sat for four subjects, marks will be calculated using the average of their best three scores. Students who appeared in three subjects will be assessed using the average of their top two marks for the pending papers.
In cases where students appeared for only two subjects, the average of those marks will be applied to the remaining subjects. The board also clarified that private and compartment candidates with pending examinations will be given an opportunity to appear in the second phase of board exams.
Additional guidelines
Students who opted to change their examination centres to other countries will be evaluated based on the papers they completed. Internal assessments submitted by schools will be considered as final and included in the result preparation.
Students will also have the option to improve their scores in subsequent board examinations, in line with existing policies. The results declared under this scheme will be treated as final, and no special examinations will be conducted outside the board’s framework.
The board noted that any further steps required during the result compilation process will be taken by the competent authority.
