CBSE Class 12 results 2026 announced; 85.20 pc students clear exam

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education on Wednesday declared the CBSE Class 12 Results 2026. Students who appeared for the Senior School Certificate Examination can now access their scorecards online using their roll number and date of birth.

Over 85 pc students pass board exams, down by over 3 percentage points since last year.

The Class 12 result will contain key details including subject-wise marks, total score, grades, division and qualifying status. Students have been advised to keep their admit cards handy while checking the results to avoid any last-minute issues.

The results are available on the official websites: CBSE Results Portal, CBSE Official Website and CBSE Results Website.

Students can also check their results through DigiLocker Results

and UMANG DigiLocker Portal.

How to Check CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 Using Roll Number

  • Visit the official website at cbse.gov.in or cbseresults.nic.in.
  • Click on the “Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) Results 2026” link.
  • Enter your roll number, school number, admit card ID and date of birth exactly as mentioned on the admit card.
  • Click on the submit button.
  • Your result, including subject-wise marks and grades, will appear on the screen.
  • Download or print the provisional marksheet for future reference.

How to Check CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 Using Date of Birth

  • Go to CBSE Official Website or CBSE Results Website
  • Open the “Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) Results 2026” page.
  • Enter your roll number, school number and date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format.
  • Click on “Submit” or “Get Result.”
  • The marksheet will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download or take a screenshot of the scorecard for immediate use.

Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said that while more than 85 per cent of the students have passed the exams, over 94,000 students scored above 90 per cent marks.

Further, 17,000-plus candidates secured more than 95 per cent score, according to Bhardwaj.

He said over 1.63 lakh students have been placed in the compartment category, marking an increase of nearly two percentage points from last year.

Girls once again outperformed boys in the examinations, recording a pass percentage of more than 88, while for boys, it stood at 82.

The Central Board of Secondary Education conducted the Class 12 board examinations from February to April 2026 at thousands of centres across India and overseas. Lakhs of students from the Science, Commerce and Humanities streams appeared for the annual examinations. After the exams concluded, the board carried out the evaluation and moderation process at designated centres before compiling the final results.
