Army Public School CET 2026 announced for Class V to IX admissions

Five residential co-educational English-medium army public schools affiliated with CBSE will be conducting a Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to classes V to IX in these schools across the country for the academic session 2026-27.

The schools are located at Dagshai, Noida (Girls only), Beas, Dhaula Kuan (only for boys), and Pithoragarh.

The test will be conducted under the aegis of the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) New Delhi.

Age: For Class V, the applicant should have been born between 1st April 2015 and 31st March 2017. For other classes, it is as follows: Class VI: Born between 1st April 2014 and 31st March 2016; Class VII: 1st April 2013 and 31st March 2015; Class VIII: 1st April 2012 and 31st March 2014; Class IX: 1st April 2011 and 31st March 2013.

The priorities for admission subject to availability of seats will be as under: (a) Priority 1 - Children of serving Army personnel. (b) Priority 2 – Children of Ex-Army personnel retired with pension / on medical grounds. (c) Priority 3 - Children of serving Air Force, Naval, and Coast Guard personnel. (d) Priority 4 - Children of retired Air Force, Naval, and Coast Guard personnel. (e) Priority 5 - Children of Ex-Army personnel who left Army with less than 10 years of service. (f) Priority 6 - Children of Civilian paid out of Defence Estimates, Central Armed Police Forces, MES, GREF. (g) Priority 7 – Grand-children of serving/retired Army personnel. (h) Priority 8 - Other Children.

Application: Online Registration for the CET for admission to Classes V, VI, VII, VIII and IX can be done through the CET link at https://awesindia.com/ latest by 15th January, 2026

Fee Structure: Exam fee is Rs 500/- for all applicants. Registration Fee is Rs 2,000/-(Defence personnel) and Rs 4,000/- (Civilian). The fee is required to be paid online through payment gateway using debit/credit card, internet banking or UPIs.

CET will be held on 8th February, 2026 (Sunday). Duration of Exam will be 2 hours for Class V. It will be from 10 am to 12noon, comprising of four sections- Mathematics, English, Hindi, General Knowledge. The exam for classes VI-IX will be of three hours duration (10 am-1 pm) comprising of Mathematics, English, Hindi, General Knowledge, General Science. The paper will consist of MCQ, Fill ups, Tick the correct answer and Descriptive Questions.
