CBSE Board Exams 2027: Check Class 10 and 12 subject-wise examination schedule
New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the examination schedule for the 2027 Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations, with both sets of examinations scheduled to commence on February 16. The date sheet, released on November 6, provides students with the subject-wise examination dates, allowing them to plan their preparation and revision ahead of the crucial academic tests.
According to the announced timetable, the Class 10 board examinations will continue until March 9, 2027, while Class 12 examinations will conclude on April 9, 2027.
The examinations are scheduled to begin at 10:30 am. However, the duration of individual papers will differ depending on the subject.
The timetable covers 83 subjects for Class 10 and 121 subjects for Class 12. Students can access the respective examination schedules through the CBSE's official website, cbse.gov.in.
The announcement is particularly significant for students who have been waiting for clarity on the examination calendar to organise their revision schedules, mock tests and preparation strategies. With the examination dates now available, candidates can allocate time to individual subjects and identify gaps between consecutive papers.
CBSE Board Exams 2027: What students should know
- CBSE has prepared a common examination schedule for Class 12 students across Science, Commerce and Arts streams.
- There are no separate date sheets for individual streams. Candidates must therefore refer to the complete subject-wise timetable and identify the dates applicable to the subjects they have selected.
- Students should not overlook the subject code. Multiple subjects may be listed on the same examination date, so candidates must match the timetable codes with those of their registered subjects.
- These codes are available in the date sheet PDF and can also be checked against the details mentioned on the admit card. Students should not rely solely on subject names while noting down their examination dates.
- The examination timings also require attention. While papers are scheduled to start at 10:30 am, the duration varies by subject.
- Candidates should carefully check their individual entries in the timetable to see how much time is allotted for their respective examinations.
How to download CBSE Date Sheet 2027
- Students can download the examination timetable by visiting the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in.
- They need to open the latest announcements section on the homepage and select the notification relating to the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations for 2027.
- After opening the relevant PDF, candidates should check their subject names, examination dates and subject codes. They are advised to download and save the document for future reference.
- The board's announcement is expected to help schools, students and parents plan the remaining academic calendar.
- Candidates should also keep track of subsequent CBSE notifications for any revisions or additional examination-related instructions.
