UPSC CDS II exam result published: Here’s how to check your result
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the results for the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) II 2024, held on 1 September. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now access their results on the official UPSC website, https://upsc.gov.in
A total of 8,796 candidates have successfully qualified for the next stage of the selection process — the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview. These interviews are conducted by the Ministry of Defence. The shortlisted candidates will be considered for admission to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and the Officers Training Academy (OTA) for both men and women. The courses are expected to commence in July and October 2025.
How to check UPSC CDS 2 results
Candidates can follow these simple steps to check their results:
- Visit the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in
- On the homepage, locate the “What’s New” section
- Click on the link titled “Written Result: Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2024”
- A PDF file containing the CDS 2 result will open
- Press Ctrl + F and enter your roll number in the search bar
- If your roll number appears, you have qualified for the SSB interview
- Download and save the UPSC CDS 2 Result 2024 PDF for future reference
Candidates whose first choice is IMA, INA, or SSC (Short Service Commission) must submit their required certificates to the Ministry of Defence by the following deadlines:
IMA/INA: 1 July 2025
AFA: 13 May 2025
SSC: 1 October 2025
