Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET)-2022: Apply by April 18

Anna University, Chennai-600 025 has invited applications for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET)-2022 being held for admission to (i) Master of Business Administration - M.B.A (ii) Master of Computer Applications - M.C.A & (iii) Master of Engineering (M.E.) / Master of Technology (M.Tech.) / Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) / Master of Planning (M.Plan.) Degree Programmes offered in colleges in Tamil Nadu.

The different Programme are offered at (i) University Departments of Anna University, Chennai -25, Anna University Regional Campuses and University Colleges of Engineering (ii) Annamalai University (iii) Government & Government Aided Engineering Colleges and Arts & Science Colleges and (iv) Self-financing Colleges (Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges including stand-alone Institutions) under Government Quota and seats voluntarily surrendered by the Self-financing Colleges in Tamil Nadu for admission through Single-Window online counselling System. Other Universities in Tamil Nadu and self-financing colleges may also opt to admit the candidates on the basis of the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test 2022.

Eligibility: (i) MBA: A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration (ii) MCA:  A pass in a recognised Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years duration in B.C.A. or B.Sc. (Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent), or a pass in a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration (in disciplines other than the ones mentioned above) with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level or at Graduation Level (iii) M.E. / M.Tech. /M.Arch./M.Plan.: A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in the relevant field. Those appearing for the final semester/year of examination of the qualifying degree course except courses offered by Professional Institution’s like AMIE, during Academic Year 2021-2022 may also apply for TANCET 2022. Other State Candidates can also appear for the Entrance Test, but the eligibility conditions will be stipulated by the admitting authority / University.

Registration: Registration for Entrance Test can be done online at https://tancet.annauniv.edu/ latest by 18.4.2022. 

Entrance Test Fee is Rs. 800/- (Rs. 400/- for SC /SCA /ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) for any one of the programmes either M.B.A. (or) M.C.A. (or) M.E/M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. degree programme. Those registering for more than one programme has to pay Rs. 800/- (Rs. 400/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) for each additional programme. Payment can be made online.
Dates of Entrance Test: (i) M.C.A: 14.05.2022 (10 a.m to 12 noon) (ii) M.B.A: 14.05.2022 (2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m) (iii) M.E./M.Tech./ M.Arch./M.Plan: 15.05.2022 (10 a.m. to 12 noon). Details on the structure of the Entrance
