NABARD invites applications for the NABARD Student Internship Scheme (SIS) 2024-25

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has invited applications for the NABARD Student Internship Scheme (SIS), 2024-25.
The objective of the Scheme is to assign short term tasks/projects/studies to students on themes of interest and which are useful and relevant to NABARD. The scheme is expected to provide valuable feedback with a fresh perspective through these studies/projects. The broad objective of SIS will be to examine topics of contemporary relevance as well as to assess/gauge the impact of various NABARD interventions at the ground level. It will also serve as an exercise for documentation of success stories of NABARD’s projects/ programmes/ schemes/activities at the field level.
All interns will be required to study one of the listed four NABARD interventions only as given in the Notification at https://www.nabard.org/ (What’s New link).
Total number of seats is 40 (35 seats for Regional Offices/TEs and 05 seats for Head Office). Each RO/TE will be allocated only 01 seat. Detailed break up of seats is given in Annexure I of the Notification.
The duration of the internship will be a minimum of 8 weeks and a maximum period of 12 weeks. The interns are required to undertake and complete the internship between 01 May 2024 and 30 August 2024.
The financial benefits for implementation of the scheme are given in the Notification. The monetary benefits such as stipend, field allowance, etc. will be released on satisfactory completion of the projects.
Eligibility: Applicants should be pursuing Post-graduate degree in Agriculture or allied disciplines (Veterinary, Fisheries, etc.), Agribusiness, Economics, Social Sciences or Management and completed first year, from Institutes/ Universities of repute or should be pursuing 5 years Integrated courses and completing/completed 4th year of their course. Indian students studying abroad are also eligible.
Students applying for internship in a particular State must be either pursuing their degree from that State or they must belong to that State (ordinarily resident of the State). However, seats in Head Office, Mumbai are open to students across the country.
Selection Process: Applicants for scheme will be shortlisted for interview on the basis of weighted score system (based on marks in 10th, 12th and Graduation). The final selection of the students will be solely on the basis of the interview performance.

List of Shortlisted candidates will be announced on April 23, 2024.
Interviews and Declaration of Results will be completed by April 30, 2024 (tentatively)
