Institute Internship at Indian Institute of Information Technology Kottayam

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Kottayam; an Institution under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India; has invited applications for the Institute Internship (iINT) - 2024 to be held in Hybrid Mode.

This programme is created in such a way that the student will gain substantial knowledge, in the opted field, within a specific duration. In the course of their internship at IIIT Kottayam, the intern has the chance to carry out novel research and contribute to development initiatives under the supervision of research-oriented mentors. The intern has the option to engage with any of the research groups of IIIT Kottayam, in order to enhance their research experience and exposure to the research and innovative world.

Eligibility: Undergraduate applicants must hold a B.Tech./B.E./B.Sc./BCA etc., and Postgraduate applicants, an M. Tech. /M.E./M.S c. /MCA etc. 

Documents required for Registration: Applicant must be ready with the following documents before initiating the registration process (i) Curriculum Vitae/Resume (ii) Consent from the Mentor of IIIT Kottayam - The procedure to be followed to obtain the Consent Form is given in the Notification at https://internship.iiitkottayam.ac.in/. Students shall select a mentor from among the faculties working in the same area of interest and contact them through e-mail given in the Faculty Profile to get consent from the mentor in the prescribed format (iii) Bonafide Certificate and NoC from the Institute where the student has undergone/is undergoing the current course, in the prescribed format. 

Application: Registration can be done at https://internship.iiitkottayam.ac.in/ by entering the details asked. Applicants should upload all the necessary documents. Once the registration is complete, a verification email will be sent to the applicant's registered email. Applicants should click on the link provided in the email. The page will be automatically redirected to the login page. The Intern may login using the login credentials. Internship fee of Rs. 5000/- to be paid online.

Duration: Duration of Internship is 4 - 8 weeks. Offline Internship is permitted at the IIIT Kottayam campus for 2 weeks. The Interns may continue their research activities with their Mentors at IIIT Kottayam, even after the stipulated duration, based on their research aptitude and phenomenal performance. 

Certificate: E-certificate will be issued only on successful completion of the Internship and upon submission of the Internship Report to their Mentors. 

Application and Fee payment can be done till 21.4.2024.

Internship commences on 6.5.2024.
