IIT Delhi offers Research Fellowship for top engineering students; Check details and apply now
Academic Section, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has invited applications for admission to the Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship Programme 2025.
Institute provides an opportunity to exceptionally qualified undergraduate students to execute an innovative research and development project under the guidance of IIT Delhi faculty. Students from different engineering institutes except IITs in India or abroad, who are within top ten ranks in their respective programme/branch, are eligible to apply.
The Fellowship work can be done in a period of 8-12 weeks.
The Fellowship will cover the following: (a) Cost of travel (Train-Sleeper class Only) within the country, to and from IIT Delhi (b) Stay at lIT Delhi during the visit(s), including boarding and lodging in the Institute hostels (c) Fellowship of Rs.500/- per week.
The selected student will register at IIT Delhi as a visiting student but will not be required to pay institute registration fee. The selected student will be required to get himself/herself insured against any eventuality for the period of stay at this institute. The student will have to bear the insurance charges. The insurance should cover accident and accidental death.
Eligibility: Any undergraduate student, except student from IlTs, who has completed at least 2 years of study towards an Engineering degree and is amongst top ten positions in her/his respective programme will be eligible to apply for this fellowship.

Application: Application can be submitted at the link provided in the Notification by 5 pm on 20th March 2025.
The applicant will have to upload the documents specified in the notification, while filling in the online form.
Applicant is not required to submit hard copy of the application. However, the selected candidates will have to produce the original documents at the time of joining.
List of selected students will be displayed by the second week of April, 2025.
The fellowship can be undertaken during the Institute vacation period from 15.5.2025 (Thursday) to 15.7.2025 (Tuesday)
