CTET 2024: CBSE to conduct exam on December 14, details inside

Central Teacher Eligibility Test Unit, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, PS1-2, Institutional Area, IP Extension, Patparganj, Delhi-110092, will conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), December 2024, on 14th December, 2024.
Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is the minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools referred to in Clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act.
Structure
There will be two papers of CTET each of two and a half hours’ duration.
Paper I (9.30 am to 12 noon) will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes I to V and Paper II (2.30 pm to 5 pm), for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes VI to VIII. A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (Classes I to V and Classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).
Paper I (Primary Stage) will have 30 Multiple Choice Questions each from (i) Child Development and Pedagogy (ii) Mathematics (iii) Environmental Studies (iv) Language I (v) Language II. All sections are compulsory.
Paper II (Elementary Stage) will have Multiple Choice Questions from (i) Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory) (30 MCQs) (ii) Mathematics and Science (60 MCQs) (for Mathematics and Science teacher) OR (iii) Social Studies/Social Science (60 MCQs) (for Social Studies/Social Science teacher) (iv) Language I (compulsory) (30 MCQs) and (v) Language II (compulsory) (30 MCQs).
Qualifying Marks
Candidate has to score minimum 60% marks to be considered as CTET pass.
Validity Period
The Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be for life time for all categories. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate. A person who has qualified CTET may also appear again for improving his/her score.

The minimum qualifications for appearing in the CTET are as notified by NCTE at https://ncte.gov.in.
Application
Application can be submitted online at https://ctet.nic.in/ latest by 23:59 hrs on 16.10.2024. Information Bulletin of CTET-December 2024 is also available here.
Examination Fee
For only 1 paper (Paper- I or II), Examination Fee is Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST/Differently Abled Person). It is Rs.1200/- (Rs.600/-) for both Paper-I & II. GST as applicable will be charged extra by the Banks. Fee can be paid through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking up to23:59 hrs on 16.10.2024.
Online corrections if any, in the particulars uploaded by the candidate can be done from 21.10.2024 to 25.10.2024. No corrections shall be allowed under any circumstances after this date.
Admit Card be downloaded 2 days before the day of examination
Result is expected to be declared by the end of January, 2025 (Tentatively).
