* Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 12th grade or equivalent examination.

* Age Limit

General category (men & women): 18 to 25 years

Backward and Extremely Backward Class (men): Maximum 27 years

Backward and Extremely Backward Class (women): Maximum 30 years

Bihar Home Guards (all categories): 5 years of age relaxation

* Physical Fitness Requirements

The recruitment process includes a physical ability test featuring running, high jump, and shot put. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the physical test, which will carry 100 marks.

Men: 1.6 km in 6 minutes

Women: 1 km in 5 minutes

~ Height Requirements

General & BC men: 165 cm

EBC & SC/ST men: 160 cm

All women candidates: 155 cm

~ Chest Measurements

General/BC men: 81 cm (unexpanded), 86 cm (expanded)

EBC men: 81 cm (unexpanded), 87 cm (expanded)

SC/ST men: 84 cm (both unexpanded and expanded)

~ Weight 

Minimum 48 kg for women of all categories

General, EBC, BC, EWS & Out-of-State Candidates: Rs 675

SC/ST, Women & Third Gender (Bihar residents): Rs 180

* Selection Process

The recruitment process will include:

~ Written Exam – Objective questions covering Hindi, English, Mathematics, Social Science, Science, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs.

~ Exam Level: Equivalent to 10th grade

~ Total Marks: 100

~ Duration: 2 hours

~ Physical Test – Marks from the physical test will determine the final merit list.

* Salary Structure

Selected candidates will be appointed under Level-3 pay scale, with a salary ranging from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 per month.
