Career in aviation regulation: AERA seeks Junior Consultants for Statistics division

Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) of India, 3rd Floor, Udaan Bhawan, Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi-110003, has invited applications for hiring of 3 Junior Consultants (Statistics) on a contract basis.

The Division, inter alia, handles matters related to tariff determination exercises in respect of aeronautical services at Major Airports, Statistics & financial modelling, data compilation, record keeping, etc.

The service of the Junior Consultant (Statistics) would be utilized in carrying out the following tasks: (i) Preparation, compilation, analysis of different types of data, statistics related to tariff determination (ii) Taking appropriate data validation, error detection, initiatives, etc. (ii) Preparing reports, data compilation, summaries etc. (iv) Preparing various data/ statistics in suitable presentation analysis formats for subsequent usage (v) Periodic review and modification of the report formats/ templates, etc. to make it more useful on the basis experience and feedback (vi) Any other work as per requirement of AERA. Personnel engaged may be required to undertake domestic tours for official purposes, subject to the approval of the Competent Authority of AERA. Personnel engaged will be appointed for an initial period of 2 years, subject to satisfactory performance review after the first year. The initial tenure of two years can be extended for an additional period of up to 3 years, subject to the requirements of the authority and satisfactory performance of the Personnel.

Qualification: Applicant should hold a Graduate degree in Statistics or Graduate degree with at least one paper in Statistics or Post Graduate degree in Statistics. Qualifications obtained through any mode [full-time/part-time/correspondence, etc.; single/ joint/ dual/ combined/ composite/ executive, etc.] and through any recognised university/institute in India or anywhere in the world, will be acceptable.

Desirable: Those who have done an internship or have experience in Statistics data handling/ Statistics analysis/ data analysis, etc. will be preferred.

Upper Age Limit: Should not be more than 35 years of age as on the last date of receipt of applications.

Consolidated Remuneration: Rs. 75,000/- p.m. No other perquisites/allowances, etc., such as DA, accommodation, reimbursement for phone/ conveyance/ transport, foreign travel, Personal staff, medical reimbursement, CGHS, etc., would be admissible. Annual Increment will be 6% of the consolidated remuneration, subject to satisfactory performance.

The candidate should be in good health for discharging his/her official duties effectively.

Selection: Applications received will be scrutinised on the basis of parameters prescribed. The selection of the candidates will be through an interview and/or group discussion.
