PG Certificate Course in Television at Film & Television Institute of India

Film & Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune a leading educational institution in the art & craft of film making and television production, has invited applications for the FTII Entrance Examination, exclusively for admission to the TV Wing’s PG Certificate Courses 2023 batch.
The one-year PG Certificate Course in Television is offered in the Specializations of (i) TV Direction (ii) Electronic Cinematography (iii) Video Editing and (iv) Sound Recording & Television Engineering. All courses are approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
Educational Qualification: Applicants should hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, in any discipline. Those appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree and awaiting results, can also apply for all PG Certificate courses. However, such candidates, if selected, are allowed to join the course, only if they submit a mark sheet, passing certificate, on or before 10th March 2024, from the Controller of Examinations /Principal /Registrar or any other equivalent competent authority of the University /Institution /College, stating that the candidate has appeared for his/ her graduation examination and he/she is a graduate/ Passed.
Selection process: Admission is through a multi-stage selection process which includes Written Test, Orientation, and Interview. Stage 1 is the Written Test to be held at Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai, Jammu and Aizawl from 10 am to 1 pm on 11.2.2024 (Sunday). It will be of 3 hours duration, carrying 100 marks and will have 2 papers. Paper I will have 2 parts, with Part A containing Multiple Choice Questions (Single Answer type) carrying 20 marks and Part B having Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) carrying 20 marks. Paper II will have descriptive answer Questions carrying 60 marks. Stage 2: Those qualifying in the Written Test must appear for further processes of Orientation and Interview, which will be held at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune.
Final merit list is prepared based on Written Test, Orientation and Interview with each component carrying 20%, 50% (20% practical + 30% written) and 30% weightage respectively, subject to qualifying Medical Test.

Candidates can opt only for any one of the courses.
Application Fees: Women and those belonging to SC, ST and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) need to pay Rs 600/- as application fee. All other applicants need to pay Rs 2,000/- as application fee. Application fee can be paid online.
Last date & time for submission of online application is 11.30 pm on 4th February, 2024.
