National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), an institute of National Importance, Hosur Road, Bengaluru-560 029; has invited applications for admission to various courses for the July Session of the Academic Year 2025-26.
The Masters Courses and Academic Eligibility are as follows:
Master of Public Health: MBBS OR Bachelor of Dental Sciences OR Postgraduate degree in Sociology / Statistics / Environmental Sciences / Physiotherapy /Occupational Therapy / Health Management / Social Work / Economics / Speech Pathology and Audiology / Speech Pathology / Audiology / Nursing.
M.Sc. Courses: (i) Biostatistics- Undergraduate Degree in Mathematics/Statistics as main subjects (ii) Psychiatric Nursing- B.Sc. Nursing OR B.Sc. Hons. Nursing OR Post Basic B.Sc. Selection for seats under sponsored category for NIMHANS staff will be based on inter-se-seniority list subject to qualifying in the entrance test.
Age Limit: The age limit for various courses has been indicated under respective sections. The age is calculated as on 01.07.2025 for July Session. Age is relaxable by a maximum of 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates and by a maximum of 3 years for OBC candidates, for the courses where the seats are reserved for OBC/SC/ST only. Age is relaxable by a maximum of 5 years in the case of PwBD candidates (check PwBD block under reservation of seats section for more information). No reservations are applicable for Sponsored candidates.

Entrance Test for all courses will be conducted at NIMHANS, Bengaluru 3rd & 4th May, 2025.
