MCC shares important update on stray vacancy round eligibility

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), has clarified the eligibility of candidates for Stray Vacancy Round of UG Counselling to be conducted by MCC and States.

Those who are not holding any seat either in All India Quota or State Quota are eligible to participate in Stray Vacancy Round of UG Counselling 2024 to be conducted by MCC. 

Those who did not join their seats allotted through MCC in Round-3 are not eligible to participate in Stray Vacancy Round of UG Counselling 2024 of MCC. However, ‘Not Reported’ candidates of Round 3 of MCC counselling can participate in state UG counselling. 

Candidates who have joined State quota seats through earlier Rounds are not eligible to participate in Stray Vacancy Round of UG Counselling 2024 of MCC. 

The Security Deposit of candidates who do not join their allotted seat in Stray Vacancy Round will be forfeited. Such candidates will be debarred from taking NEET exam for the next year. 

The Data of Joined candidates of Round-3 conducted by MCC will be shared with state counselling authorities and such candidates will be debarred from taking admission in state quota counselling.
