Masters’ admission at School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi: Apply by February 28

School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, an ‘Institution of National Importance’, 4, Block-B, Indraprastha Estate, New Delhi-110 002 has invited applications for admission to the 2 years, full time, Masters Programs for 2023-24.

Programs and eligibility: (i) Master of Architecture (Architectural Conservation) & Master of Architecture (Urban Design): Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Planning (ii) Master of Design (Industrial Design): Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Design/Fine Arts with valid CEED score (essential for non-architectural candidates) (iii) Master of Building Engineering & Management: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Building Engineering or Architecture or Architectural Engineering or Four Year Building Science or Five Year Diploma in Construction Technology (iv) Master of Architecture (Landscape Architecture): Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture or Planning or Master’s Degree in Planning or equivalent post-Graduate diploma or certificate of completion of Pre-Landscape Architecture Course of the SPA, New Delhi (v) Master of Planning (Environmental Planning): Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or Architecture or Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering or Environmental Engineering or Master’s Degree in Geography or Economics or Sociology or Environmental Science or Environmental Management (vi) Master of Planning (Housing): Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or Architecture or Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering or Municipal Engineering or Building Engineering or M.A. in Sociology or Economics (vii) Master of Planning (Regional Planning) & Master of Planning (Urban Planning): Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or Architecture or Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering or M.A. Geography, Economics, or Sociology (viii) Master of Planning (Transport Planning): Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or Architecture or Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering or Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Operational Research/ Economics’

Those with equivalent degrees are also eligible. All degrees should be from a recognized university or equivalent.

Applicant should have at least 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST/OBC) at the qualifying Examination.

Selection: Selection will be based on (i) Performance in Qualifying Examinations (ii) Valid GATE/CEED/UGC NET Score (iii) Portfolio of Work/ Thesis/ Project (iv) Interview in person (v) Statement of Purpose (description of the interest and motivation for the chosen study) (vi) Work experience, if any, after attaining the eligibility qualification. 

Application: Applications can be submitted online through the link provided at www.spa.ac.in,  latest by 28 February, 2023. An applicant can apply for single programme only. Applications of those applying for more than one course will be rejected. Those awaiting final year results can also apply. They must submit the final marks by 31 August 2023, failing which the admission will stand cancelled.

Application fee for PG programme is Rs.2,500/- for Indian Nationals and US$ 300 for Foreign National/NRI/PIO/OCI to be paid by online.

PG Scholarships: The scholarships to GATE and CEED (applicable only for Industrial Design course) qualified candidates will be paid to those who have valid Score Card. 

Reservations will be applicable as per rules of the Government of India.

Ph. D. Programmes (Full Time & Part Time): Admission forms of Ph.D. Programmes are available throughout the year at www.spa.ac.in but the candidates shall be admitted twice in a year. Details are available at www.spa.ac.in
