Kerala MDS 2025 round 2 allotment process begins

Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram-695 001, has commenced the activities related to the Second phase of Centralized allotment to Post Graduate Dental Degree Courses for the year 2025 in the State.
Vacant seats in State quota after the first round counselling in Government/Self-financing Dental Colleges Dental Colleges will be filled up in this phase. Candidates included in the state rank list published by the CEE can log on to www.cee.kerala.gov.in and then click the link ‘PG Dental 2025 Candidate Portal’ to access their home page.
Online Option Confirmation is mandatory to participate in Round 2. Those who have received an allotment or have not received any allotment in first phase, and want to be considered for second phase allotment have to ‘confirm’ online their willingness to participate in Round 2 by clicking the ‘Confirm’ button available in the Home page. Those who do not Confirm online will not be considered for the second phase of allotment for the existing options.
Candidates can rearrange/ delete their existing higher order options if needed, after clicking the ‘Confirm’ button. Only option deletion/ rearrangement is possible for the existing options. Candidates who have not received any allotment in the first phase can also re-arrange/delete their existing options.
In the Second Round Counselling, there is no facility for fresh option registration, except for the three new colleges included in Round 2 under the self-financing category.
If a candidate allotted a seat in the first round has joined the allotted seat, his/her higher options will be retained and all those options listed below the allotted options will automatically be deleted thus enabling only up gradation/retention in the same seat.
If a candidate joined in a seat in Round 1 does not give confirmation of option in the Round 2 he/she will not be considered for up gradation in Round 2, but the seat joined in Round 1 will be retained. So, if a candidate joined in Round 1 does not want up gradation in Round 2, he/she may not confirm options or delete all options registered.
Those who got allotment in Round 1 but have not taken admission and those who quit the seats after taking admission will lose their allotment and all the higher order options. They will not be considered for round 2 allotment. Registration fee of such candidates will be considered as penalty and will not be refunded. However, such candidates will be considered for registering options for newly included colleges of Round 2, after payment of option registration fee.
The rank list of Service Quota candidates will be published on the website on 18.07.2025. Those in this Rank List can register options immediately after the publication of the Service Quota Rank List.
The facility for online option confirmation/registration/deletion/re- arrangement shall be available in the above website till 11.59 pm on 24.07.2025.
Second Phase Provisional Allotment will be published on 25.07.2025 and the Second Phase Final Allotment on 26.07.2025.
All candidates who get an allotment in Round 2 should remit the fee/ balance fee to be paid to the CEE as shown in the allotment memo and should join the course and college to which they are allotted along with the required documents and Fee Receipt between 28.07.2025 and 4 pm on 03.08.2025.
Candidates who belong to SC/ST/OEC/Children of Fisherman/Inmates of Sri Chithra home, Nirbhaya home, Juvenile home are exempted from payment of fees (except Minority/NRI Seats).
If a candidate is allotted a seat in Round 2 but the candidate does not report/ does not join/quits after joining, then the Option Registration Fee of the candidate will be forfeited,
Fresh option registration will be available during the third (final) round, but with a fresh option registration fee amounting to annual tuition fee if opted only for Government seat or an amount of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One lakhs only) if opted also for a seat in Private Self-financing College. Registration fee for Govt./Private college seats will be half of the above amounts respectively for SC/ST/OE and other candidates who are eligible for fee concession.
The registration fee paid for the final round of those who do not join the seat allotted will be treated as penalty and will not be refunded. Those who do not take admission in the last phase as well as those who file/retain unnecessary options during the final phase, resulting in lapsing of Government seats in government/ self-financing colleges, will not be eligible for refund of fees. They will have to pay Liquidated damages as stipulated in Clause 19.5.
The conversion of seats, if any, will be carried out during the final round of allotment.
Allotment to Colleges/Courses will be subject to recognition of All India Regulatory Bodies/Affiliation from the Universities concerned.
