KVASU opens admissions for MSc, UG, Diploma and PG Diploma courses for 2025-26: Apply now
Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU), Pookode, Wayanad, Kerala, - 673 576, has invited applications for admission to the MSc/PG Diploma/BSc/Diploma courses for the academic year 2025-26.
The name of the programme and eligibility are as follows
MSc Programmes (Course Duration: 2 Years): (i) Biostatistics: Bachelor's degree in Statistics or Applied Statistics or Data science or Mathematics & Statistics (Double/Triple Main/core) or Mathematics (Main/core) with Statistics as one of the subsidiaries (ii) Quality Control in Dairy Industry: B.Tech (Dairy/Food Technology)/B.Sc./B.Voc in Dairy Science/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Food Science/Nutrition and Dietetics/Chemistry (iii) Biochemistry and Molecular Biology: Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Genetics/Molecular Biology/Zoology/Chemistry (iv) Applied Microbiology: Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology/Zoology/Botany/Biotechnology/Veterinary Science/Agriculture/Any allied life Science subject (v) Animal Biotechnology: Degree in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Genetics/Molecular Biology/Zoology/Chemistry/Other Life Science subjects (vi) Animal Sciences: B.V.Sc. and AH / Degree in Life Sciences, BSc (Poultry Production and Business Management) (vii) Applied Toxicology: B.V.Sc. & A.H./M.B.B.S./B. Pharm/Basic Degree in Life sciences from a recognized University
PG Diploma Programmes (Course Duration: 1 Year): (i) Climate Services in Animal Agriculture: M.V.Sc./Ph.D./B.V.Sc. & A.H. (ii) Climate Services: B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc/B.Sc (iii) Veterinary Cardiology: BVSc & AH / BVSc and VCI registration (iv) Veterinary Anaesthesiology: BVSc & AH / BVSc and VCI registration
Selection to M.Sc. programmes & PG diploma programmes shall be done from the rank list prepared on the basis of marks/OGPA secured in the qualifying examination.
UG Programme (Course Duration: 4 Years): B.Sc. (Hons.) in Poultry Production and Business Management: Plus two /VHSE in the biology stream with 50% marks.
Diploma Programmes (Course Duration: 2 Years): (i) Dairy Science: Plus Two (Biology), VHSE (Livestock Management/Dairy Husbandry/Dairying Milk Products/DFE (Dairy Farmer/Entrepreneur)) (ii) Laboratory Techniques: Pass in Plus II with biology as one of the subjects or VHSE with biology as one of the subjects (iii) Diploma in Feed Technology: Pass in plus two or VHSE.
For B.Sc. and diploma programs, selection is based on the rank obtained by the candidate in the entrance examination conducted by the university.
For all programmes, those who have appeared for the final examination of a qualifying degree and are awaiting results can also apply. Mandatory relaxations are applicable for every category as per the existing government rules.

Announcements related to the release of hall tickets for the entrance examination, allotment memos, and changes in the admission procedure, if any, will be intimated through the News and Announcement section on the university website and in the application portal under the course name. Applicants should check the university website regularly.
Admission to the programmes will be conducted through an offline allotment process. Students have to secure their admission by remitting the specified fees of the programmes through the State Bank Collect Portal within the stipulated time prescribed in the allotment letter.
