KEAM 2024: Special Stray Vacancy allotment to MBBS and BDS Courses announced

Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala has published the Special Stray Vacancy allotment to MBBS/BDS Courses for the year 2024 at www.cee.kerala.gov.in.  

The details of allotment of a candidate such as Name, Roll Number, Allotted Course, Allotted College, Category of Allotment, Fee details etc., are available on the home page of the candidate as well as in the Allotment Memo. The candidates should take a printout of the allotment memo from the Home Page. Candidates who have an allotment can also download the ‘Data Sheet’ containing the basic details of the candidates by clicking the menu ‘Data Sheet’ available in the home page of the candidate. The printout of this Data Sheet is to be produced before the college authorities at the time of admission.

Candidates who have an allotment should remit the fees as shown in the Allotment Memo to the allotted college and should join the course/ College allotted by 1 pm on 02.12.2024.

Those allotted under SC/ST/OEC/ other categories specified in the Notification need not pay the tuition fee. However, if they are allotted under Minority/NRI quota seats in Self-financing Medical/Dental colleges they will have to remit the fee as shown in the allotment memo and they will not be eligible for any fee concession. 

Those candidates who do not join the course/college allotted within the stipulated time will lose their allotment. Registration fee of such candidates will not be refunded and they will be penalized as per KEAM Prospectus clause 12.2.4. They will be liable to pay penalty of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakh Only) for MBBS course and Rs. 5,00,000/- (Rupees five lakh only) for BDS course irrespective of annual family income/nativity/reservation status. Their candidature is also liable to be cancelled. They will also be debarred from appearing the Entrance Examinations and/or allotments conducted by the CEE for a period not exceeding two years. In case of failure to remit the penalty, the same is liable to be recovered under the Revenue Recovery Act. 

Those candidates, who quit seats after taking admission either through special stray vacancy allotment or through previous allotments conducted by CEE, will be penalized as per KEAM Prospectus clause 12.2.4.
