Join AFMS: BSc Nursing admission opens for 2025 through NEET UG

Indian Army has notified the admission to four years BSc (Nursing) Course commencing in 2025 at Colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS).

The Course is offered at the College of Nursing (CoN) at (i) AFMC Pune (ii) CH(EC) Kolkata (iii) INHS Asvini, Mumbai (iv) AH(R&R) New Delhi (v) CH(CC) Lucknow (vi) CH(AF) Bangalore. There are a total of 220 seats. Details are given in the Notification at https://joinindianarmy.nic.in/

Eligibility: Applicants should (i) be citizens of India (ii) females who are unmarried/divorced/legal separated/widow without encumbrances (iii) born between 01 October 2000 and 30 September 2008 (both days inclusive) (iv) have passed in the first attempt, Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent (12 years of schooling) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English with not less than 50 % aggregate marks as a regular student from a Statutory/Recognised Board/University/Examining Body; (v) qualified NEET (UG)-2025, conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).

Selection: Shortlisting of candidates will be done through NEET (UG) 2025 scores. Those shortlisted will have to appear for a Computer-Based Test of General Intelligence & General English (ToGIGE), a Psychological Assessment and an Interview.

ToGIGE will be of 30 minutes’ duration and will consist of 40 multiple-choice questions of two marks (maximum 80 marks). There will be negative marks of 0.5 for every incorrect answer.

All shortlisted candidates will undergo psychological assessment and interview by a Board of Officers at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt. Candidates may be asked questions on the core subjects up to Standard XII, general knowledge, current affairs and their interests, hobbies, etc. Due weightage will be given to candidates during interviews for achievements in sports at various levels and for the dependents of officers/JCOs/ORs who are serving/ESM/killed in action.

The selected candidates shall execute an agreement/bond at the time of admission to serve in the Military Nursing Service (MNS), Armed Forces Medical Services.

During training they will be provided with free rations, accommodation, a uniform allowance and a monthly stipend as per the rules amended from time to time. On successful completion of the BSc Nursing course of four years, the candidates will be granted Permanent/Short Service Commission in the Military Nursing Service, under the terms and conditions laid down for the grant of such commission.

All candidates (except SC/ST) will have to pay a sum of Rs 200/- as an application processing fee through an online payment gateway.
