Admission to BSc Nursing and Allied Health Sciences Courses at JIPMER Puducherry
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), an Institution of National Importance Under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India; Dhanvantari Nagar, Puducherry 605006, has invited applications for admission to the BSc Courses for the Academic Year, 2024-25.
Bachelor of Science (BSc) Courses (Undergraduate) offered at JIPMER, Puducherry are BSc Nursing; BSc Allied Health Sciences Courses -Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences (BMLS); Anaesthesia Technology; Bachelor of Optometry; Cardiac Laboratory Technology; Dialysis Therapy Technology; Medical Laboratory Technology in Blood Banking; Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology; Neurotechnology; Nuclear Medicine Technology; Perfusion Technology; Radiotherapy Technology
BSc Nursing is a full time 4 (Four) years degree course that includes 24 weeks paid internship.
BSc Allied Health Sciences Courses: (i) Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences is a full time 4 (four) year course with 3.5 years of theory & practical classes and 6 months of compulsory internship (ii) All other BSc Allied Health Sciences courses are full time 4 (four) years course with 3 years of theory & practical classes and 1 year of compulsory internship.
There are 94 seats for B.Sc Nursing of which 9 seats are reserved for males and 85 for females. For the 11 Medical Allied courses, there are a total of 87 seats. Seats are reserved for All India candidates and Puducherry candidates.
Eligibility: Applicant should be an Indian National and should have qualified in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) [NEET (UG) 2024] conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). Applicant should complete the age of 17 years by 31.12.2024 (they should have been born on or before 01-01-2008). There is no upper age limit.
Applicants should have passed the Higher / Senior Secondary Examination/equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology and English and passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology and English individually, and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology at the qualifying examination (40% for SC/ ST/ OBC and 45% for PWD category in General/EWS categories).

The list of applied candidates who are eligible to participate in the counselling based on NEET UG 2024 Rank/Merit will be published on or before 8.11.2024 at the website.
Counselling for admission to BSc courses will be held in person at JIPMER. The details of counselling will be published on JIPMER website at the time of declaration of the eligible candidates list. No individual intimation will be sent to the candidates.
Seats will be allotted to candidates based on their choice, merit, and seat availability. Classes will commence on 25.11.2024.
Academic Fee / Tuition fee (per annum) for the BSc Courses is Rs.1,200/-.
