Integrated M.Tech for Working Professionals at IIIT Kottayam
Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Kottayam, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India; has invited applications for admission to the Integrated M.Tech (iM.Tech) with BCA-MCA in AI & Data Science for Working Professionals, February 2024 session.
This is a Self-paced and flexible programme of 6 to 10 years from and Institute of National Importance; Instructor-led classroom sessions in online mode; Online classes offered during Weekends/ Holidays; A continuous evaluation system that assesses the learners over convenient and regular intervals; End-semester examination and Final project review in offline mode; offline exam centres at the off-campus centre in Trivandrum or exam centres in Bangalore, Pune, Allahabad/ Delhi, subject to the availability of sufficient candidates; minimum of 1 week of on-campus visits per semester; flexibility to exist at BCA, MCA & Integrated M.Tech level and which can be extended to Ph.D. Programme.
Eligibility: Applicant must have completed 10+2 in Science with Mathematics / Diploma or equivalent educational qualification with 50% aggregate (47.5% aggregate in case of OBC (NCL); 45% aggregate in case of SC/ST/PWD category candidates) and must be employed in Industry/R&D/Academics at the time of applying. Those who are expected to complete their eligibility requirements by the end of January 2024 can also apply for the iMTech programme.
It is desirable that the applicants possess knowledge of any one programming language.
Program Structure: The program spans across 12 semesters (6 Years) - Semester I to Semester XII comprising of three levels - BCA level (Semester I through Semester VI), MCA level (Semester VII through Semester X) and Integrated M.Tech. Level (Semester XI through Semester XII). Those admitted will have the flexibility to exit at the following levels: (i) Learners who have successfully completed Semester I through Semester VI and opt to exit at this level can receive a BCA degree in AI & Data Science (ii) Learners who have successfully completed Semester I through Semester X and opt to exit at this level can receive a BCA degree and MCA degree in AI & Data Science (iii) Learners who have successfully completed Semester I through Semester XII can receive a BCA degree, MCA degree and Integrated M.Tech. degree in AI & Data Science.
The maximum duration for completion of the program is 10 years. The medium of instruction, assessments, project reports and examinations will be English.
Admission will be based on a National Level Entrance Examination to be conducted online.
