ISI admissions 2025: Online applications open, check course details here

Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), 203 B. T. Road, Kolkata- 700 108; has invited applications for admission to Degree, PG, Diploma, Junior Research Fellowships offered by the Institute for 2025-26.
Academic Programmes: (i) 3-year Bachelor of Statistics (Hons) [B Stat (Hons)], offered at Kolkata. Stipend: Rs.5000/- per month (ii) 3-year Bachelor of Mathematics (Hons) [B Math (Hons)] at Bengaluru. Stipend: Rs.5000/- per month (iii) 4-year Bachelor of Statistical Data Science (Hons) [B SDS (Hons)]: Concurrently offered in Kolkata, Delhi and Bengaluru and taught in the hybrid mode. Tuition fee: Rs.1,00,000/- per semester. There will be provision for full waiver of tuition fee for SC-ST/ PwD candidates, and full or partial waiver based on family income (iv) 2-year Master of Statistics [M Stat]: The first year of the programme is offered at Delhi. Stipend: Rs.8000/- per month (v) 2-year Master of Mathematics [M Math] offered at Kolkata and Bengaluru. Stipend: Rs.8000/- per month (vi) 2-year Master of Science in Quantitative Economics [MS (QE)] offered at Delhi and Kolkata. Stipend: Rs.8000/- per month (vii) 2-year Master of Science in Quality Management Science [MS (QMS)]: The first year of the programme is offered at Bengaluru and the second year in Hyderabad. Stipend: Rs.8000/- per month (viii)2-year Master of Science in Library and Information Science [MS (LIS)] offered at Bengaluru. Stipend: Rs.8000/- per month (ix) 2-year Master of Technology in Computer Science [M Tech (CS)] offered at Kolkata. Stipend: Rs.12400/- per month. A candidate with a valid GATE score above a threshold (to be decided by the Selection Committee) in his/ her own subject is eligible for admission through direct interview (x) 2-year Master of Technology in Cryptology and Security [M Tech (CrS)] offered at at Kolkata. Stipend: Rs.12400/- per month. A candidate with a valid GATE score above a threshold (to be decided by the Selection Committee) in his/her own subject is eligible for admission through direct interview (xi) 2-year Master of Technology in Quality, Reliability & Operations Research [M Tech (QROR)] offered at Kolkata. A candidate with a valid GATE score above a threshold (to be decided by the Selection Committee) is eligible for admission through direct interview. Stipend: Rs.12400/- per month (xii) 1-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Statistical Methods and Analytics [PGDSMA] offered at ISI NE Centre at Tezpur and at Chennai. In Tezpur, 50% of the seats are reserved for domiciles of the North-East states of India. Stipend: Rs.3000/- per month only for domiciles of the North-East States of India (xiii) 1-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Agricultural and Rural Management with Statistical Methods and Analytics [PGDARSMA] offered at Giridih (xiv)1-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Applied Statistics [PGDAS] offered online by Coursera. Applicant may directly apply through Coursera to register for this programme also. Those who qualify through the admission test of ISI will get a tuition waiver (xv) Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): (a) Statistics (b) Mathematics (c) Quantitative Economics (d) Computer Science (e) Quality, Reliability & Operations Research (f) Physics and Applied Mathematics (g) Geology (h) Biological Science (Agricultural and Ecological Research) (i) Biological Science (Human Genetics) (j) Linguistics (k) Sociology (l) Library and Information Science- Fellowships: Rs.37000/- per month.

Selection will generally be based on ISI Admission test to be held on 11 May 2025. Test syllabi and sample questions are available at https://www.isical.ac.in/~admission/
Due consideration is given to OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/EWS candidates for all programmes. There are supernumerary seats for female candidates (SSFC) in the undergraduate programmes.
Application: Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are eligible to apply. Applications can be submitted online at https://www.isical.ac.in/~admission/ by 26 March 2025. Application submission for B SDS programme starts on 04 April 2025 and ends on 31 May 2025. Those who are due to complete the qualifying examination before 21 July, 2025 may also apply.
Application Fee: For Indian Citizens: Rs.1500/- for Male applicants, Rs.1000/- for Female applicants; Rs.750/- for OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/EWS category; Rs.1500/- for all Overseas Citizens of India.
