Walk in interview for admission to PhD program in Department of Biology at IISER Tirupati
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Tirupati, an Autonomous Institution of Ministry of Education., Govt. of India; Yerpedu Mandal, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh -517619, has notified a Walk-in interview for admission to the Ph.D. program in the Department of Biology for the January- 2025 session.
Essential Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must have qualified for JGEEBILS 2023 (or) DBT-JRF-A / ICMR-JRF /DBT-BINC / ARS-NET (ICAR)/ UGC-CSIR JRF/ DST-INSPIRE-JRF (or) NET-LS (or) GATE-Life Sciences, GATE-Biotechnology, GATE-Ecology and Evolution (or) any other national fellowship.
Academic eligibility: Applicant should have a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences/ Ecological Sciences/Agricultural Sciences/ M.Tech/ M.VSc or MBBS degree or any equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate (overall percentage including all subjects) or CGPA 6.0 on a 10-point scale. Those with BE/B.Tech degree (Biological Sciences) with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate (overall percentage including all subjects) or a CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale can also apply. IISER BS-MS (All IISERs) Dual degree students with CGPA >= 8.0 are eligible without the essential eligibility criteria.
Limited number of PhD fellowships from the institute are available for candidates without fellowship.
