Diploma in Computer Application and Secretarial Practice at GCI Kerala
Directorate of Technical Education, Kerala, has invited applications for admission to the 2 year Diploma in Computer Application and Secretarial Practice for 2024-25, conducted at Government Commercial Institutes (GCI), Kerala.
Government Commercial Institutes are located at Mannanthala (Thiruvananthapuram), Punalur (Kollam), Alappuzha, Ettumannor (Kottayam), Pala (Kottayam), Kanchiyar (Idukki), Kaloor (Ernakulam), Kothamangalam, Pothanikkad (Ernakulam), Mala (Thrissur), Palakkad, Kallachi (Kozhikode), Koyilandy (Kozhikode), Mancheri (Malappuram), Meenangady (Wayanad), Taliparamba, Kannapuram (Kannur).

The Programme combines the study of English Typewriting and Word Processing, Malayalam Typewriting and Word Processing, English Shorthand (all Higher Grade), Malayalam Shorthand, Hindi Type Writing (both Lower Grade), DTP (English & Malayalam), Computerized Financial Accounting, Python Programming, Data Entry, Communicative English, Accountancy, Business Correspondence etc.
Eligibility: Applicant should be an Indian and should have passed SSLC/equivalent with eligibility for Higher Studies. There is no upper age limit for admission.
Application: Applicants have to first do one-time online registration at https://www.polyadmission.org/gci/ and pay a registration fee of Rs.100/- (Rs.50/- for SC/ST) online latest by July 8, 2024.
Application can be submitted online subsequently, latest by 9.7.2024. Those who wish to be considered for admission to multiple institutions have to select the institutions and give separate options in the application.
Admissions will be as per the rank list prepared by considering the Grades received in the SSLC/equivalent examination.
