Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry Course at BHU Varanasi

The Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi has invited applications for admission to Undergraduate Program, Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry Course (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) at Rajiv Gandhi South Campus Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh.

Eligibility: Applicant should not be below 17 years of age and above 25 years of age as on 31.12.2024. Applicant should be born on or after 31st December 1999 and on or before 31st December 2007.There shall be relaxation of maximum age by five years for SC/ST/OBC categories. 

Applicant should have passed the qualifying examination (Plus 2 /equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English (as a core course) and obtained 50% marks in aggregate for these subjects (47.5% for SC/ST/OBC/PC/Other special category of students as specified by the Government from time to time).

Applicant should have qualified in NEET UG 2024. 

Selection: Admissions shall be made strictly on the basis of merit index of NEET 2024, availability of seats in the course, as per rules given in the Information Bulletin at https://bhuadm.samarth.edu.in/ and rules framed by the University from time to time.

Application: Applications can be submitted online at https://bhuadm.samarth.edu.in/  latest by 29.9.2024 (Prospectus shows the last date for online submission of Registration Forms     as 2nd October, 2024) 

Registration Fee of Rs. 900/- (Rs. 450/- for SC/ST/PwBD) may be paid online through credit card / debit card through the payment gateway available on the Registration Portal. 

Result will be declared on 6th October, 2024. 

There are 60 seats out of which 15% (09 seats) will be filled by Veterinary Council of India and the remaining 51 seats will be filled by BHU as follows: General- 21, EWS- 05, OBC- 14, SC- 07, ST- 04, PwBD- 03

The B.V.Sc. & A.H. Program at BHU Varanasi is to run at Rajiv Gandhi South Campus (RGSC), Barkachha, Mirzapur. 

Regular fee is Rs.  56,089/- for 1st Professional Year and Rs. 50,314/- for 2nd/3rd/4th/5th or Internship Programme) per professional year as prescribed by the University. Tentative Hostel Fee for 1st year is Rs. 7,500/- p.a. and Rs. 5,500/- p.a. from 2nd year onwards.
