LBS invites applications for Nursing, Health Science courses 2025: Apply now

LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Trivandrum has invited applications for admission to Professional Degree Courses 2025 in Nursing and Allied Health Science under the Directorate of Medical Education, Kerala for 2025-26.
Courses: (I) Bachelor of Science in Nursing [B.Sc. Nursing] (ii) Bachelor of Science– Medical Laboratory Technology [B.Sc. (M.L.T)] (iii) Bachelor of Science -Perfusion Technology [B.Sc. Perfusion Technology] (iv) Bachelor of Science- Optometry[B.Sc. Optometry] (v) Bachelor of Physiotherapy [B.P.T] (vi) Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology [B.A.S.L.P] (vii) Bachelor of Cardio Vascular Technology[B.C.V.T.] (viii) Bachelor of Dialysis Technology[B.Sc. D.T] (ix) Bachelor of Occupational Therapy [BOT] (x) Bachelor of Medical Imaging Technology (xi) Bachelor of Radio Therapy Technology (xii) Bachelor of Neuro Technology (xiii) Bachelor of Nuclear Medicine (xiv) Bachelor of Science -Medical Biochemistry and (xv) Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotic. Allotment will be made in new courses initiated by KUHS and approved by the Government, which will be notified later.
Admissions are regulated on the basis of merit as assessed in the rank list prepared based on the marks obtained in final year of the qualifying examination(s), after having the normalization procedure as described in the Prospectus at https://www.lbscentre.in/
The list of the institutions in which the courses were offered for 2024 admissions, the number of seats available etc. is given in the Prospectus.
Government seats: Merit Seats against which the Director, LBS Centre makes allotment are called ‘Government Seats’. All the seats in Government colleges and Self Financing Colleges functioning under Government controlled Autonomous bodies (SIMET, CPAS, CAPE, MCC,etc) and 50% of the total seats in Private Self Financing Colleges are ‘Government seats’. In case of self-financing Nursing Colleges run by institutions having minority status, 20% of Government seats will be filled up from among the candidates belonging to the minority community running the college, on the basis of merit.
Management seats: Seats other than ‘Government seats’ filled up by management as per inter se merit are management seats.
Academic Eligibility: Applicants should have passed Plus 2 /equivalent examination with specified subjects with separate minimum pass mark in them and 50% aggregate marks in the concerned subjects specified put together depending on the Program. The subjects are as follows (i) B.A.S.L.P.: Physics Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics/Computer Science/Statistics /Electronics /Psychology (ii) Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics (BPO): Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology /Mathematics and English put together (iii) Nursing and all other Programs: Physics Chemistry and Biology. There is relaxation in marks for applicants of reserved categories, details of which are given in the Prospectus.
Age: Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on the 31.12.2025. There is no relaxation in the minimum age. The upper age limit for B.Sc Nursing is 35 years. For Para Medical Degree Courses, there is no upper age limit except for service category for B.Sc. M.L.T) and B.Sc Optometry which is 46 years.
Application: Applications can be submitted online at https://www.lbscentre.in/. Application Fee is Rs. 800/- (Rs. 400/- for SC/ST). It can be remitted by 4th June 2025, online or at any one of the notified branches of Federal Bank in Kerala, using the Challan generated on-line during the process of registration of application form. After remitting application fee, application can be completed latest by 7th June, 2025
For Service Candidates, application fee is Rs. 800/- to be remitted in Treasury. Details can be had from the Prospectus.
Rank list: There will be 3 Rank Lists prepared as follows. (i) Rank List I: For all courses except BASLP and BPO: Based on Normalized marks for Physics, Chemistry, Biology put together at the final year of the qualifying examination (ii) Rank list 2: B.A.S.L.P. on the basis of Normalized marks for Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics/Computer Science/Statistics/Electronics/Psychology together at the final year of the qualifying examination (iii) Rank List III: BPO course- on the basis of the marks obtained for Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics and English together at the final year of the qualifying examination.
After the preparation of Rank lists, Candidates included in the Rank lists have to register their options in the stream(s) concerned through the designated website. Allotment is to be made by the Director, LBS Centre for Science & Technology through a Centralized Allotment Process, through a Single Window System (SWS).
