Admission open for master of hospital administration in Kerala

LBS Centre for Science and Technology, a Government of Kerala Undertaking, has invited applications for admission to Master of Hospital Administration (MHA) 2025-26.

The duration of the course is 2 years. The maximum permitted period for completion of the courses shall be 4 years.

Eligibility for admission

(i) Nativity: Only Indian citizens are eligible for admission. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) will also be treated at par with Indian citizens for the limited purpose of admissions. However, PIO/OCI candidates will not be eligible for any kind of reservation.

(ii) Academic Eligibility: Eligibility Degrees have been classified under 4 groups as follows: (a) MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS (b) B.Sc Nursing (Basic or Post basic), B. Pharm, B.Sc.in Allied Health Sciences (c) Bachelor degree in science/law/engineering/management (d) Bachelor's degree in arts/commerce. The applicant should have one degree from anyone in these groups. The degree/equivalent should be from an institution recognized by the respective council/university as applicable through a full-time regular program. The applicant should have obtained permanent registration in the respective state council where applicable.

Applicants should have a minimum of 50% marks in all the years of the university examination of the course. SC/ST and SEBC candidates will be granted a relaxation of 5% in the required academic eligibility marks in cases where the minimum pass percentage is below 50%. In the case of a grade system, a conversion scheme from grade to percentage of marks obtained from the university must be uploaded along with the application.

There is no upper age limit.

Applicants should satisfy the minimum requirements for admission before the last date fixed for submission of application.

Categorization of Seats

(i) Government seats: Merit Seats against which the Director, LBS Centre makes allotment are called ‘Government Seats’

(ii) Management seats: Seats other than ‘Government seats’ that will be filled by the Management are ‘Management seats’. 50% of the seats in all institutions are Government seats. The remaining 50% seats are management seats. The list of Colleges offering the course, total number of seats available for the course will be finalized prior to the commencement of the Centralized Allotment Process -2025.

Total seats available under Government seats are categorized under State Merit Quota, SEBC Quota, PD quota and SC/ST Quota. 5% of the seats available for the state for allotment from the state rank lists, for all the courses in all the Government/Aided/Govt. Cost Sharing Colleges are reserved for the candidates with disabilities. The remaining seats will be distributed as follows: Merit seats – 63% SEBC - 27% (Ezhava - 8%, Muslim -7%, Other Backward Hindu- 7%, Latin catholic & Anglo Indians- 3%, Other Backward Christian- 1%, Kudumbi -1%), SC/ST – 10%.

Application can be submitted online at https://lbscentre.in/ latest by 10.9.2025. Prospectus can also be downloaded from here. The application fee is Rs 1200/- (Rs. 600/- for SC/ST candidates). Application fee can be remitted online or at any branch Federal Bank, using the Challan generated online during the process of submission of application.

Rank List: The Director of the LBS Centre for Science and Technology will prepare the rank list of candidates. Four separate rank lists will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in the qualifying examinations. Rank List-I, II, III and IV will be based on the total marks obtained for the course under (a), (b) (c) and (d) respectively,

Centralised Allotment Process (CAP): The Centralized Allotment Process for all seats will be through a Single Window System (SWS). The allotment to various colleges will be done by the Director, LBS Centre. The Allotments will be based on the options exercised by the candidate (details given in the Prospectus), the rank lists prepared by the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology, eligible reservation(s) of the candidate and availability of seats. Out of the available seats, 30% seats each will be allotted for those with academic eligibility under (a) and (b) and 20% seats each will be allotted to those with academic eligibility under (c) and (d).
