New Tata Tiago EV 2026 launched: Check price, battery options, features and range

Tata Motors has introduced the new-generation Tiago EV nearly four years after the original model entered the market. The electric hatchback is available in two pricing formats. The Battery as a Service (BaaS) version starts at Rs 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom), while the standard battery-included version is priced from Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The updated model retains the familiar compact hatchback layout but introduces several styling and feature upgrades aimed at modernising the vehicle.
2026 Tata Tiago EV facelift gets major exterior updates
The facelifted Tata Tiago EV receives noticeable cosmetic revisions at the front, sides and rear.
At the front, the hatchback now features newly designed eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lights along with an updated headlamp setup. Unlike the petrol-powered Tiago, the EV version continues to use a closed body-coloured grille, giving it a cleaner electric vehicle identity. The internal combustion engine version, in comparison, uses a larger black grille.
The side profile has also been refreshed with the addition of new 15-inch alloy wheels.
At the rear, Tata has introduced a redesigned taillight arrangement featuring three vertical slats on either side. A horizontal lighting element runs across the top section, giving the impression of a connected taillamp unit. The Tata logo is positioned centrally between the rear lights.
Cabin receives dual screens and redesigned dashboard
The interior of the 2026 Tata Tiago EV facelift has undergone several changes compared to the outgoing model.
One of the biggest updates is the addition of dual free-floating digital displays. One screen functions as the instrument cluster, while the second unit serves as the infotainment system. The previous-generation Tiago EV used an LCD instrument display.
Tata has also redesigned the dashboard and updated the door pads to give the cabin a fresher appearance.
Other new additions include a redesigned gloss black central console, a new front centre armrest, rear AC vents and redesigned AC vents at the front. The hatchback now comes with a two-spoke steering wheel as well.
The feature list has also expanded with additions such as an I-high beam alert, automatic demist function, dual-tone black and grey fabric upholstery and two wireless charging pads.
Same battery options continue on 2026 Tiago EV
Mechanically, Tata has retained the same battery pack choices from the previous-generation Tiago EV.
The Medium Range (MR) version continues to use a 19.2 kWh battery pack, while the Long Range (LR) variant is equipped with a larger 24 kWh battery pack.
According to Tata Motors, the new Tiago EV offers a claimed driving range of up to 285 km on a full charge. The company also states that the hatchback can deliver a real-world range of up to 215 km depending on driving conditions and usage.
Fast charging improved on new Tata Tiago EV
The updated Tiago EV now supports 30 kW fast charging capability.
Tata claims the electric hatchback can gain up to 100 kilometres of range in just 18 minutes of charging under fast-charging conditions.
The company is also offering a lifetime battery warranty with the new-generation Tata Tiago EV, which is expected to improve long-term ownership confidence for buyers considering an affordable electric hatchback.
2026 Tata Tiago EV targets affordable EV buyers
With its updated styling, improved interior technology and familiar battery setup, the 2026 Tata Tiago EV facelift continues Tata Motors’ push in the mass-market electric vehicle segment.
The hatchback remains positioned as an entry-level electric car option for buyers looking for a city-friendly EV with practical range, modern features and lower running costs.
