Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 15 5G lineup in China; Pro models get major upgrades

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 15 series in China, with the Redmi Note 15 5G Pro and Note 15 Pro+ 5G taking centre stage, accompanied by the more affordable Redmi Note 15. The new Pro models bring notable upgrades in performance, display quality and durability, alongside one of the biggest batteries ever featured in the Redmi Note lineup.

All three models in the series come with AMOLED panels offering 68 billion colours, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, Dolby Vision and a peak brightness of 3,200 nits.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G and Pro+ 5G feature a 6.83-inch display with a resolution of 1220 x 2772 pixels and Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass protection. Meanwhile, the standard Redmi Note 15 5G sports a 6.77-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2392 pixels, also protected by Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass.

The Redmi Note 15 5G series runs on Android 15 with HyperOS 2. The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra (4nm), while the Note 15 Pro+ 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 (4nm). The standard Redmi Note 15 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 (4nm).

The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G is available in three variants: 256GB with 8GB RAM at CNY 1,499 (about ₹18,300), 256GB with 12GB RAM at CNY 1,699 (about ₹20,700), and 512GB with 12GB RAM at CNY 1,899 (about ₹23,200).

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G comes in options of 256GB with 12GB RAM at CNY 1,999 (about ₹24,400), 512GB with 12GB RAM at CNY 2,199 (about ₹26,800), and 512GB with 16GB RAM at CNY 2,299 (about ₹28,000).

The Redmi Note 15 5G starts at 128GB with 6GB RAM for CNY 999 (about ₹12,200), 128GB with 8GB RAM at CNY 1,099 (about ₹13,400), 256GB with 8GB RAM at CNY 1,299 (about ₹15,800), and 256GB with 12GB RAM at CNY 1,499 (about ₹18,300).

All models use UFS 2.2 storage technology.

Redmi Note 15 5G camera

The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G is equipped with a camera setup featuring a 50MP wide lens with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, supporting up to 4K video recording at 30fps. The Pro+ 5G variant offers a triple camera system with a 50MP wide lens with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The standard Redmi Note 15 5G features a 50MP wide lens paired with a 2MP depth sensor.

For selfies, the Note 15 Pro 5G comes with a 20MP front camera, the Note 15 Pro+ 5G includes a 32MP shooter, and the Note 15 5G carries an 8MP sensor.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G and Pro Plus 5G both feature massive 7,000mAh batteries. The Pro 5G supports 45W wired charging along with 22.5W reverse wired charging, while the Pro+ 5G offers faster 90W wired charging in addition to 22.5W reverse wired charging. The standard Redmi Note 15 5G is backed by a 5,800mAh battery with 45W wired and 22.5W reverse wired charging support.
