Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S25 Edge, the latest smartphone in its Galaxy S25 line-up. Launching globally on May 13, including in India, the new model combines an ultra-thin design with powerful hardware and a focus on mobile AI features.

Sleek design meets serious performance

Measuring just 5.8mm thick and weighing 163 grams, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is one of the slimmest smartphones in the company’s history. Despite its sleek frame, it houses a large 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz refresh rate and 2600 nits peak brightness. The phone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 and boasts an IP68 rating, offering durability alongside its premium build. It will be available in Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack and Titanium Icyblue.

AI-powered performance

Running on an overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the Galaxy S25 Edge shares its core power with the rest of the S25 series, including the flagship S25 Ultra. The phone features 12GB RAM and comes in two storage variants — 256GB and 512GB. According to Samsung, it includes “all the Galaxy AI features” such as Now Brief via Now Bar, Google Gemini AI assistant, Audio Eraser, Drawing Assist, and Nightography.

Another highlight is the ProScaler feature, which uses Samsung’s mobile Digital Natural Image engine (mDNIe) to upscale content for a richer viewing experience.

High-end camera for low-light brilliance

Photography gets a significant boost with the 200MP primary sensor, the same as in the S25 Ultra, which Samsung claims offers “up to 40 per cent improved brightness in low-light conditions” over the base Galaxy S25 model. This is paired with a 12MP ultra-wide lens that supports both autofocus and macro photography. A 12MP front camera caters to selfies and video calls.

Battery and software

The Galaxy S25 Edge packs a 3,900mAh battery and supports 25W charging. It runs on Android 15-based One UI 7 and features a redesigned vapour chamber for improved heat management.

Samsung S25 Edge price in India

Samsung has priced the Galaxy S25 Edge competitively, making it an attractive option for those seeking a premium smartphone. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at ₹1,09,990, while the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant will cost ₹1,21,990. The pricing places the device between the Galaxy S25+ and the Galaxy S25 Ultra, offering a balanced mix of performance, camera quality, and design at a slightly more affordable price point.
