Since then, social media has been flooded with realistic-looking photos and videos depicting elaborate celebrations featuring some of the world's biggest celebrities and football stars.
Several viral clips show Ronaldo and Georgina cutting an enormous wedding cake while guests cheer, wave flags and celebrate around them. In different versions, Georgina appears in elegant white bridal gowns, ranging from minimalist sleeveless dresses to intricate full-sleeved lace designs, while Ronaldo is dressed as the groom.
What has made the videos particularly convincing is the guest list. AI-generated versions feature Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, Neymar, Erling Haaland, Lamine Yamal, MrBeast, Rihanna, Drake, IShowSpeed and several other well-known personalities appearing to celebrate together.
Kerala and Bihari-style wedding becomes a viral favourite
Among the many AI creations, one Kerala-themed wedding video has become especially popular.
Set against the backdrop of a nostalgic Kerala wedding, the video reimagines Georgina in a traditional set saree while Ronaldo wears a kasavu mundu and shirt. AI-generated scenes show Messi and Mbappé chatting inside the wedding venue, while Haaland, Mohamed Salah and Lamine Yamal are seen sitting together enjoying a traditional feast.
Other sequences feature FIFA President Gianni Infantino arriving at the venue and greeting guests, while Neymar poses for photos during the celebration.
One of the video's most talked-about moments involves YouTuber IShowSpeed, a well-known Ronaldo fan. The AI version portrays him as Georgina's brother. As the couple leave after the wedding, Georgina is shown becoming emotional inside the car while IShowSpeed wipes away tears.
The Kerala-themed celebration isn't the only version circulating online.
Another widely shared AI video recreates Ronaldo and Georgina's wedding in a Bihari setting. In that version, IShowSpeed is seen serving food to guests while football stars dance, mingle and take part in the celebrations.
Even an AI chatbot joined the trend
The wedding trend has extended beyond videos.
A separate viral clip features IShowSpeed chatting with an AI version of Cristiano Ronaldo using Character.ai. The chatbot, which uses Ronaldo's image, clearly states on the screen that it is "AI and not a real person."
During the interaction, Speed asks whether he has been invited to Ronaldo's wedding. The AI responds by joking that he has a VIP invitation and later tells him he can livestream the ceremony, calling it an event that would be "legendary."
Speed reacts enthusiastically throughout the exchange, but the conversation is entirely AI-generated role-play and does not confirm any real wedding plans.
Why the videos are fooling millions
The viral clips highlight how quickly generative AI has evolved. With realistic facial expressions, natural movements and believable editing, many of the videos appear authentic at first glance, especially when viewed without context.
As the content continues to spread across platforms, many users have mistaken the AI creations for genuine wedding footage before finding they were digitally generated.
For now, the internet may have already hosted Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina's dream wedding multiple times, but only through the power of artificial intelligence.
