Poco X8, Poco X8 Power prices leaked ahead of India launch: What to expect

Ahead of their scheduled launch in India on 4 September 2026, the expected price ranges for the upcoming Poco X8 and Poco X8 Power smartphones have leaked online. As reported by technology publication GSMArena, the standard Poco X8 is anticipated to land between ₹28,000 and ₹30,000, positioning it in the competitive upper-mid-range segment. Meanwhile, the higher-end Poco X8 Power is tipped to launch at around ₹35,000. The pricing details, initially highlighted by tech outlet Gizbot, give consumers their first clear look at where both handsets will sit in the market prior to going on sale via Flipkart.
Rebranded Hardware and Key Specifications
Industry reports indicate that both upcoming smartphones are largely rebranded variants of Xiaomi's Redmi Note 17 series. According to technical specifications outed by GSMArena, the standard Poco X8 is expected to share hardware with the Redmi Note 17 Pro, featuring a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 3,500-nit peak brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset. For photography, the base model is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a 16-megapixel front shooter. By contrast, the Poco X8 Power is believed to mirror the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, stepping up to a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor, an upgraded 32-megapixel selfie camera, and an added 8-megapixel ultrawide rear lens.
Battery Performance and Market Strategy
The standout feature of the new X-series lineup lies in its significant power endurance. The Poco X8 Power will carry a massive 10,000mAh battery paired with 100W wired fast-charging support. The standard Poco X8 is set to feature a slightly smaller 9,000mAh cell alongside 67W fast charging. By pairing aggressive pricing with exceptionally high battery capacities, Poco aims to capture mid-range market share when both devices are officially unveiled.
