144Hz display, IP69K rating, massive battery: OnePlus Nord CE 6 series launched

OnePlus on Wednesday expanded its Nord lineup in India with the launch of the OnePlus Nord CE 6 and OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite, bringing high-refresh-rate displays, large-capacity batteries and enhanced durability features to the mid-range smartphone segment.

While the Nord CE 6 succeeds the popular Nord CE 5, the Nord CE 6 Lite marks the return of the “CE Lite” branding after a two-year gap.

The OnePlus Nord CE 6 starts at Rs 29,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 256GB model is priced at Rs 32,999. The smartphone will go on sale from May 7 with an instant bank discount of Rs 2,000 as part of the early-bird offer.

Meanwhile, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite is priced at Rs 20,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant, Rs 22,999 for the 8GB + 128GB version, and Rs 25,999 for the 8GB + 256GB option. Sales begin on May 12 with select bank offers of up to Rs 2,000.

Both smartphones will be available through Amazon, the OnePlus Store app, OnePlus Experience Stores and authorised offline retail outlets.

OnePlus Nord CE 6 specifications

The OnePlus Nord CE 6 features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits. The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The device also includes a large vapour chamber cooling system and a dedicated Touch Reflex chip aimed at improving gaming responsiveness. OnePlus says the smartphone supports up to 144FPS gameplay in select titles.

The Nord CE 6 brings back stereo speakers, a feature absent on the previous-generation model, and comes with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings along with MIL-STD-810H certification for durability.

For photography, the phone houses a 50MP primary rear camera along with a 2MP secondary sensor, while the front gets a 32MP selfie camera. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording at 30fps.

One of the key highlights of the Nord CE 6 is its massive 8,000mAh battery paired with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. The phone also supports reverse charging up to 27W.

The smartphone runs Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 and includes AI-powered software features and gaming enhancements.

OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite features

The more affordable Nord CE 6 Lite is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex processor, replacing the Snapdragon 695 chipset used in the older Nord CE 4 Lite.

It sports a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate and packs a 7,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. The device also supports bypass charging technology designed to reduce battery stress during gaming.

The Nord CE 6 Lite comes equipped with a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front shooter. While the rear camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps, the selfie camera supports recording at 1080p resolution.

Like its premium sibling, the device ships with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16 and includes AI-based editing features such as AI Eraser and AI Reflection Remover.
