Massive 9,000mAh battery with 100W charging
One of the biggest highlights of the Ace 7 lineup is its 9,000mAh battery, which offers substantially more capacity than the batteries found in many conventional smartphones.
Both models support 100W wired fast charging, combining a high-capacity battery with fast-charging technology.
The large battery could appeal particularly to users who spend extended periods gaming, streaming videos or using power-intensive applications.
However, OnePlus has not provided independently verified battery endurance figures in the supplied launch details.
Despite their identical battery capacities, the two smartphones have slightly different weights. The Ace 7 weighs approximately 223g, while the Ace 7 Pro weighs around 225g.
Both devices measure 162.3 x 77.37 x 8.59mm.
Snapdragon 8 Elite processors and advanced cooling
The Ace 7 series uses two different Qualcomm processors.
The standard OnePlus Ace 7 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5V chipset, while the Ace 7 Pro features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, manufactured using a 3nm process.
According to the specifications, both processors offer peak clock speeds of up to 4.6GHz.
The smartphones are equipped with LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, designed to support demanding applications, multitasking and faster data transfers.
OnePlus has also introduced its Dual-Path Glacier Air-Cooling system across the lineup to help manage temperatures during intensive usage.
The cooling technology is intended to maintain performance during activities such as extended gaming sessions and other processor-heavy tasks.
185Hz AMOLED display on both models
Both smartphones feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 1,272 × 2,772 pixels.
The panels support refresh rates of up to 185Hz, making high-refresh-rate performance another major selling point of the series.
Other display specifications include 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, a pixel density of 450ppi and peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits.
The screens also support 3,840Hz PWM dimming, always-on display functionality and the reproduction of approximately 1.07 billion colours.
Both devices carry IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
200MP cameras, but one major difference
Photography is another key area where the Ace 7 series aims to compete.
Both smartphones feature a dual rear camera setup led by a 200-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, autofocus and optical image stabilisation.
The main camera supports up to 20x digital zoom.
However, the secondary camera differs between the two devices.
The standard Ace 7 features an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 112-degree field of view.
The Ace 7 Pro replaces the ultrawide sensor with a 50-megapixel telephoto camera featuring an f/2.8 aperture and support for up to 120x digital zoom.
For selfies and video calls, both smartphones feature a 16-megapixel front camera with an f/2.4 aperture.
The devices also support video recording at resolutions of up to 8K at 30 frames per second.
Android 17, Wi-Fi 7 and ultrasonic fingerprint sensor
The OnePlus Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro run Oppo's ColorOS 17, based on Android 17.
Both smartphones support dual SIM cards, 5G connectivity, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
Navigation options include GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS.
For security, the smartphones feature an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Other sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and electronic compass. An infrared blaster is also included.
