Lenovo turns heads with flip and solar laptops at MWC 2025

At the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, Lenovo showcased a series of innovative concepts that are set to reshape the future of hybrid work environments and business computing. Among the highlights were the ThinkBook Flip AI and Yoga Solar PC.
The ThinkBook Flip AI is a concept laptop featuring an 18-inch foldable screen that offers a versatile user experience. When fully unfolded, it serves as a large 18-inch display, perfect for multitasking. When folded horizontally, the screen splits into two separate panels—front and back—allowing users to manage multiple applications at once. Additionally, when folded flat, it transforms into a tablet-like device, adding further flexibility to workspaces. Powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, 32GB LPDDR5X memory, and PCIe SSD storage, the ThinkBook Flip AI boasts AI-enhanced multitasking capabilities and Smart ForcePad controls for seamless navigation. This concept is an early glimpse into the future of hybrid work laptops that combine AI computing with flexible form factors.
Lenovo’s other standout concept at MWC 2025 is the Yoga Solar PC. This eco-conscious device integrates solar panels on its back, allowing it to absorb ambient light and provide an additional hour of use after an eight-hour workday. The Yoga Solar PC features a 14-inch OLED display, an Intel Lunar Lake processor, 32GB RAM, and 1TB storage, all within a sleek 15mm thick design weighing just 1.22kg. This innovative prototype underscores Lenovo’s commitment to sustainability while maintaining high performance and portability.
These exciting concepts are part of Lenovo’s broader portfolio of AI-driven devices, which also includes the latest ThinkPad and ThinkBook laptops, enhanced ThinkShield security solutions, and the Lenovo AI Now intelligent assistant.
