Is ChatGPT down? Users report glitches – here’s what OpenAI says

New Delhi, Wednesday: Several users of X platform reported issues with the popular AI chatbot ChatGPT on Wednesday. Complaints started appearing across social media, with users claiming the service was not functioning as expected.

Technical glitch confirmed

OpenStatus AI confirmed the disruption, stating: “We’re currently experiencing issues. We have identified that users are experiencing elevated errors for the impacted services.”

Mitigation in progress

The company added that it was actively working to implement a mitigation to resolve the problem. The elevated error rate had been ongoing for seven minutes at the time of reporting.

Impact on users

The issue affected multiple users attempting to access ChatGPT, causing temporary interruptions in the chatbot service.
