Google Pixel 11a leak: New renders reveal a major camera design change

Google could be preparing to introduce the successor to the Pixel 10a, with fresh leaks offering an early look at the rumoured smartphone's design, colour options and dimensions.

The Pixel 10a was launched in India in February as Google's entry-level smartphone. While the company has not officially announced the Pixel 11a, leaked CAD renders reportedly reveal what the next-generation A-series handset could look like.

The renders, shared by Android Headlines in collaboration with tipster Steve H. McFly (@OnLeaks), show a design that closely resembles the Pixel 10a. The handset is expected to retain Google's distinctive pill-shaped rear camera module, although the camera island appears to be slightly larger than the one on its predecessor.

The leaked images show a flat rear panel with the camera module positioned at the top. An LED flash is placed alongside the camera island, while the phone is shown with a flat display and relatively thick bezels.

A centred hole-punch cutout can be seen at the top of the screen, which is expected to house the front-facing camera. The power and volume buttons are reportedly positioned on the right side.

At the bottom, the renders show a USB Type-C port, speaker grille and microphone cutout.

The Pixel 11a could reportedly be offered in four colour options: black, green, purple and silver. The black variant is expected to be called Obsidian, while the remaining shades could be marketed as Olive or Pistachio, Frost and Fog, respectively.

The upcoming phone could also be marginally smaller than the Pixel 10a. According to the leaked information, the Pixel 11a may measure 153.46 x 72.35 x 9mm, compared with the Pixel 10a's 153.9 x 73 x 9mm dimensions.

Earlier reports have also suggested that the Pixel 11a could feature a 6.3-inch display with a 1,080 x 2,424-pixel resolution. The screen is expected to support a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, along with up to 2,250 nits of HDR brightness and 3,350 nits of peak brightness.

The smartphone is also rumoured to use Google's Tensor G6 chipset. It could reportedly be paired with the MediaTek M90 networking chip, which is also expected to feature across the Pixel 11 series.
