Google offers free Gemini Pro to Indian students: AI help, 2 TB storage—what to know
Google has announced a free one-year subscription to its Gemini AI Pro plan for students in India. The offer is open to individuals aged 18 and above, aiming to support academic performance and learning throughout the year. Registration must be completed by September 15, 2025, on the official offer page.
Students subscribing to the plan will receive access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, the company’s most advanced AI model, to assist with academic tasks. This includes unlimited support for homework, exam preparation, and writing assistance.
Gemini is already being used by students for a range of tasks—from understanding complex concepts to preparing for interviews and developing creative ideas.
Expanded suite of AI features included
The Pro plan also provides access to a wider set of tools aimed at improving productivity and learning:
- Deep Research for detailed academic support
- NotebookLM with five times the standard note-taking capacity
- Gemini Live for real-time spoken brainstorming
- Veo 3 in Gemini and Flow to convert text or photos into videos
- Integration across Google apps, including Gmail, Docs, and Sheets
- Additional cloud storage for projects and media
The offer includes 2 TB of cloud storage across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos. This is intended to help students store academic projects, research material, and media files securely.
