Yash x BGMI collaboration goes live with ‘Toxic’ themed rewards and exclusive voice crates

Battlegrounds Mobile (BGMI) is set to merge cinema and gaming once again through its latest collaboration titled Yash x BGMI: The Toxic Voice Pack. The feature arrives as part of the game’s 4.4 update, which has been announced recently.
The partnership brings actor Yash into one of BGMI’s most prominent celebrity integrations so far. It introduces exclusive in-game voice packs in both Hindi and Kannada, along with a range of Toxic-themed collectibles inspired by the upcoming cinematic universe.
Film universe behind the collaboration
The project is linked to ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’, directed by Geetu Mohandas. The film stars Yash alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria.
It is being filmed in Kannada and English and will also release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. The production is backed by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations and is being developed as a large-scale international action drama.
Two-phase in-game rollout for players
The collaboration has been designed as a two-stage rollout to engage players over time and highlight the crossover between entertainment and gaming culture.
From May 28, 2026, players will be able to access the Toxic Exchange Event. This includes daily missions and permanent themed rewards such as the Toxic Daddy Trenchcoat, Toxic Parachute, Toxic Avatar, Toxic Avatar Frame and Toxic Space Gift, along with limited voice packs in Hindi and Kannada.
From June 2, 2026, BGMI will introduce the Toxic Voice Pack Crate. This will feature Yash’s voice in special voice packs available in both Hindi and Kannada.
Surprise cameo and campaign expansion
As part of the wider campaign, BGMI has also released a surprise cameo film featuring Yash. This extends the collaboration beyond the gaming platform into promotional storytelling content.
Yash on the collaboration
Speaking about the partnership, Rocking Star Yash said the collaboration reflects the expectations of today’s younger audience.
“When we talk about Gen Z, we are talking about a generation that demands authenticity, edge and narratives that disrupt, which matches the vibe of Toxic. And you find the absolute core of that audience inside BGMI as well. The Battlegrounds have changed gaming to become a cultural space where young creators build their own stories and maps. What excites me most about BGMI isn’t just the game - it’s what the community does with it. Bringing my voice and the energy of ‘Toxic : A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’ to India’s passionate young community experiences is a great integration, and I'm excited for the audience to try it.”
Seddharth Merrotra, Head of Business Development and Partnerships at KRAFTON India, said Yash’s popularity made the collaboration a natural fit for the game’s audience.
“Yash is one of India’s biggest pan-India superstars - the kind of name that doesn’t just have fans, it has a movement. When we look at a collaboration, the question is always: does this feel real to our players? With Yash and Toxic, the answer was obvious. BGMI’s community skews young, action-obsessed, and deeply connected to Indian pop culture - that’s exactly who Yash speaks to. And having his actual voice inside the game, in Hindi and Kannada, takes it beyond a cosmetic collaboration into something players will genuinely feel every time they drop into a match”
