Electronic Electronic Arts has officially launched Battlefield: Redsec, a free-to-play battle royale mode integrated within Battlefield 6’s ecosystem, delivering an adrenaline-fueled twist on the franchise’s signature warfare experience. Redsec is now accessible via the Battlefield 6 launcher and promises players thrilling warfare set in the expansive, destructible map of Fort Lyndon—a fictional Southern California warzone that is the largest-ever map in the series.

Redsec offers squad-based combat for up to 100 players in dynamic duos or squads, with no solo queue. Central to its design is tactical destruction reminiscent of Battlefield 6, where buildings can be levelled piece by piece, adding a strategic layer to the intense firefights. Players can choose from classic classes—Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon—with signature gadgets and passive abilities tweaked specifically for the battle royale format. Vehicles like helicopters, jeeps, and tanks play a pivotal role but require tactical use and strategic control, with tanks unlocked by keys scattered on the map.

Gamers can also dive into Gauntlet mode, a 32-player squad-based elimination tournament inspired by competitive esports formats that challenge squads to complete objective-based rounds, with the top contenders moving forward to climactic final showdowns. Besides, Battlefield Portal empowers players with creative freedom, allowing custom modes using Redsec assets and integrating with the broader Battlefield 6 experience.
