World Cup hero in Kozhikode! Sanju Samson surprises former Kerala captain Rohan Kunnummal’s family

Koyilandy: Kerala cricketer Rohan Kunnummal and his family were left speechless on Thursday evening when a surprise guest drove into their courtyard. It was none other than their dear friend Sanju Samson—the man who led India to glory with a stunning innings in the T20 World Cup final in Ahmedabad last Sunday.
Sanju arrived at Rohan’s residence in Anakulam without any prior announcement. Having reached Kozhikode the previous day, he was accompanied by fellow Kerala cricketers Akshay Chandran, Fabid Ahmed and Salman Nizar. Rohan, along with his father Suseel Kunnummal and his mother, warmly welcomed the Indian star. Sanju spent over half an hour at the house before departing.
The visit to Kozhikode is reportedly part of a short trip to unwind and de-stress following the high-intensity World Cup campaign. Sanju and Rohan are long-time teammates for the Kerala state side; notably, when Sanju moved up to the Indian national team, Rohan took over the mantle of Kerala captaincy.
