Veteran footballer P Paulose, member of Kerala’s first Santosh Trophy-winning team, passes away

Veteran Kerala footballer P. Paulose, 76, who was part of the Kerala team that won the Santosh Trophy for the first time in 1973, passed away on Monday. Hailing from Aluva, he was a dependable left wing-back and represented Kerala in the Santosh Trophy for eight years, captaining the side in 1979. After retirement, he made lasting contributions as a football administrator, serving the Kerala Football Association for over three decades and holding the post of senior vice-president at the time of his death.
