Thrissur girl to represent India in Asian Weightlifting Championship next month

Thrissur: Anjana Sreejith, a student of St. Mary's College in Thrissur, will represent India in the Asian Weightlifting Championship to be held next month. She is currently taking part in the Commonwealth Championship held in New Delhi.  

Anjana, daughter of Wayanad native Sreejith and Kavitha, competes in the 76kg Junior category. Last year, she was Junior National Champion and All-India Inter-University Champion. 

For the past seven years, she has been training at a centre of Thrissur District Sports Council under National team coach Chithra Chandramohan.
