Smriti Mandhana's wedding with music composer Palash Muchhal has recently been in the spotlight after the ceremony was abruptly put on hold due to the sudden hospitalisation of the cricketer’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana. However, what began as a medical emergency soon spiralled into a wave of cheating rumours linking Palash Muchhal to two dance choreographers- Nandika Dwivedi and Gulnaaz Khan.

After Gulnaaz dismissed the allegations earlier, Nandika Dwivedi issued a detailed statement denying any involvement in the issues surrounding the Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana wedding.

Taking to Instagram on Friday, Nandika addressed the “baseless assumptions,” firmly stating that she had no connection to the alleged disruptions in the Smriti Mandhana wedding plans.

“Over the past few days, I’ve seen speculation about my involvement in a situation that has been deeply personal for other people,” she wrote. “I want to address and clarify that the assumptions being made about me, particularly the idea that I played a role in disrupting anyone’s relationship, are simply NOT true.”

Her note directly counters the cheating rumours involving Palash Muchhal, which originated largely from online chatter and Reddit discussions.

Nandika also expressed frustration toward certain media outlets for amplifying unverified information. She highlighted how the situation had begun affecting her personal life and mental health:

“Please understand, this will not be easy for me to come out of, I cannot be falsely accused anymore. Please. I have been watching those I care about feel stressed and hurt by information that is not true, and it is taking a toll on my mental health.”

She also revealed that she had been receiving threats, which forced her to turn her Instagram account private. “I have sacrificed a lot to come to Mumbai, to work and achieve my goals. Please do not take my name further than this; I have nothing to do with any of it. Eventually, the truth will find its way,” she added.

Nandika has now made her Instagram account public again.

What actually happened: Health scares lead to wedding halt

On the day of the planned Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana wedding, Smriti’s father suffered heart-attack-like symptoms and was immediately rushed to Sarvhit Hospital and Medical Research Centre in Sangli. Out of concern for his health, Palash and Smriti mutually decided to put the wedding on hold.

A day later, even Palash Muchhal was admitted to the hospital. His mother told Hindustan Times that Palash shares a deep bond with Smriti’s father and insisted the wedding should not continue until he recovered.

Following the hospitalisation, fans noticed that Smriti Mandhana removed her pre-wedding posts from Instagram, adding further fuel to ongoing speculation.

Amid the circulating allegations, Palash’s cousin came forward to defend him, urging the public not to judge the music composer while he is dealing with a critical health condition.
