IPL 2025: How much will winning team get? Know prize money here

Mumbai: The IPL will get a new champion from among the teams that made up the 2008 original roster for the first time in more than ten years. The trophy has only been grabbed by recurrent winners since the Mumbai Indians won the first championship in 2013; the Sunrisers Hyderabad (2016 champions) and Gujarat Titans (2022 champions) were not included in the original roster.
Two long-suffering teams, each rich in history, drama, and support, are now poised for a long-awaited breakthrough at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Here is a breakdown of the tournament prize money and an estimate of the winning team's earnings:
As a team, the IPL 2025 winners will receive up to Rs 20 crore, while the runner-up will probably receive about Rs 13 crore. According to reports, this has been the standard since 2022, and no adjustments have been notified.
Over time, the IPL prize money has only increased. The tournament has grown significantly since its inception, with the only dip occurring in 2020—the year of the COVID pandemic—when it began with just Rs 4.8 crore for the champions and half that for the runner-up.
