Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal are officially divorced; lawyer confirms

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, choreographer Dhanashree Verma, have officially ended their marriage. Their lawyer confirmed the news, stating, “The divorce has been done. Marriage is dissolved.” The case has been settled in the Mumbai Family Court, but the advocate declined to disclose details regarding alimony.

Divorce finalised in Mumbai Family Court

Earlier in the day, Chahal and Verma were seen at the family court in Mumbai, completing the final formalities of their divorce proceedings. Following this, their lawyer informed the media that the couple is no longer married. When questioned about the alimony amount, the lawyer refused to comment.

According to a Bar & Bench report, Chahal allegedly agreed to pay ₹4.75 crore to Verma as part of the settlement, though no official confirmation has been made regarding this claim.

Dhanashree’s music video and RJ Mahvash’s cryptic post

Following the confirmation of her divorce, Verma released a new music video, Dekha Ji Dekha Maine, which focuses on toxic relationships. Her move has sparked speculation, with many seeing it as a subtle dig at Chahal.

Meanwhile, Chahal’s rumoured girlfriend, RJ Mahvash, shared a cryptic message on social media, writing, “Jhut, lalach, aur fareb se parey hain..khuda ka shukr ainey aaj bhi khade hain...” (Beyond lies, greed, and deception… by God’s grace, we are still standing). The post has fuelled further speculation about tensions between the two women.

Relationship timeline and separation

Verma and Chahal met during a dance session and developed a relationship that led to their wedding in December 2020. Verma frequently accompanied Chahal on international tours and received his support when she participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 as a contestant. However, over time, differences arose between the couple, leading them to part ways.
