Lucknow: The wedding date of Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj and cricketer Rinku Singh has been fixed. The couple will tie the knot on November 18. Before the wedding, their ring ceremony is scheduled for June 8 at a hotel in Lucknow, attended by close family and relatives.

The relationship between Priya Saroj, the MP from Machhlishahr, and cricketer Rinku Singh was publicly confirmed earlier this year after a ‘roka ceremony’ in January, where both families formally agreed to the match. Now, the couple is preparing for their engagement and upcoming marriage.

Who is Priya Saroj:

Priya Saroj, 26, won the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from the Machhlishahr seat on a Samajwadi Party ticket. She made headlines by defeating the BJP’s BP Saroj by over 35,000 votes, becoming one of India’s youngest MPs. Born on November 23, 1998, in Varanasi, Priya completed her schooling at Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute in New Delhi. She holds a graduation degree in Arts from Delhi University and an LLB from Amity University, Noida.

Reports suggest that Priya and Rinku’s first meeting was arranged through a friend of hers. Her father, who is also a cricketer and knows Rinku personally, introduced the couple.

With the ring ceremony just weeks away, all eyes are on the upcoming celebrations of this high-profile match between the young MP and the talented cricketer.
