Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru will take on Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, with both sides aiming to finish a remarkable season on a high.

RCB enter the title clash with an opportunity to retain the IPL trophy for the first time in franchise history. After ending their long wait for a maiden title in 2025, the Bengaluru side carried that momentum into the current campaign and finished at the top of the league standings with nine victories from 14 matches.

Led by Rajat Patidar, RCB secured a direct place in the final after producing a dominant performance against Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1, registering a comprehensive 92-run victory in Dharamshala.

Gujarat Titans, meanwhile, have scripted one of the standout comeback stories of the season. The 2022 champions bounced back strongly to finish among the top two teams during the league phase, collecting 18 points from 14 matches.

Captain Shubman Gill guided the Titans into their second IPL final in four seasons after they defeated Rajasthan Royals convincingly in Qualifier 2. Playing the final at their home venue in Ahmedabad, Gujarat will be looking to avenge their heavy defeat to RCB earlier in the playoffs and add a second IPL crown to their trophy cabinet.

The two teams last faced each other in Qualifier 1 at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala, where RCB outclassed Gujarat by 92 runs to book their place in the final. Bengaluru will be hoping for a repeat performance, while the Titans will be eager to turn the tables in front of their home supporters.
