Arlington: As the 2026 FIFA World Cup reaches its climax, FIFA and Adidas have introduced a new official match ball for the tournament's final four matches: the Trionda Final.

This special edition ball will be used exclusively during the semi-finals, the third-place play-off, and the final, marking the first time in FIFA World Cup history that the tournament has adopted a dedicated new design for its closing stages.

Why the Change?

The introduction of the Trionda Final is primarily a strategic move to provide the tournament's most decisive moments with a unique visual identity. While the original Trionda served the competition from the group stages through to the quarter-finals, Adidas aimed to create a design that reflects the magnitude of the title race. A total of 92 matches were played using the standard Adidas Trionda official match ball during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. According to Adidas, the goal was to elevate the look and feel of the biggest matches in international football while maintaining the technical standards established earlier in the tournament.

Design and Features

The Trionda Final features a distinct aesthetic inspired by the journey toward the ultimate prize:

By keeping the underlying construction identical to the ball used throughout the tournament, FIFA ensures that the performance remains predictable and familiar for the players, even as the design undergoes a luxurious transformation for the grand finale.
